Berynda, Pamva
Born between 1550 and 1579; died July 13 (23), 1632, in Kiev. Ukrainian lexicographer, poet, and translator. Berynda was an active member of the L’vov Brotherhood and a publisher. In 1616 he began to work in the printing shop of the Kievo-Pecherskii monastery. He wrote a dictionary, Slavo-Russian Lexicon (1627), and verses with panegyric and ecclesiastical content.
