Panaro 

a river in Italy, a right tributary of the Po River. The Panaro is 166 km long and drains an area of 2,300 sq km. It rises in the Tuscan Apennines and flows mainly across the Venetian Plain. The mean flow rate in the lower course is about 45 cu m per sec. The river overflows in the spring and fall. In the lower reaches the riverbed has been banked against floods. The river has been channeled and is navigable. Situated on the Panaro is the city of Vignola; the city of Modena is in the Panaro valley.
