Paragould (pâr`əgld), city (1990 pop. 18,540), seat of Greene co., NE Ark.; inc. 1882. The growing processing and trade center of an agricultural region, Paragould also has a wide variety of manufactures.

Our backlog remains strong and was 10,077 railcars as of March 31, 2008 and we are excited to report that we started production at our wheel and axle assembly shop in Paragould, Arkansas in the first quarter.
Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, the industry's third largest manufacturer of dry freight vans and a leading manufacturer of reefers, flatbeds, and Tautliner[R] curtainsided trailers, is pleased to announce that its Paragould, Arkansas plant reached a production milestone with its 75,000th dry van which rolled off the assembly line in August.
Utility currently operates five regionally placed trailer factories: two for refrigerated trailers, located in Marion, Virginia and Clearfield, Utah; two for Dry Vans, located in Glade Spring, Virginia and Paragould, Arkansas, and a Flatbed and Tautliner(R) factory in Enterprise, Alabama.
