Paris Landing State Park

Location: 18 miles east of Paris on US Hwy 79.
Facilities: 44 campsites with water and electricity hookups (é), bathhouses, 130-room inn, 10 cabins (é), conference facility, restaurant, picnic areas, picnic shelter, hiking trail (2 miles), swimming pool (é), beach, marina, boat ramp, amphitheater, 18-hole golf course, game courts, playground, gift shop.
Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, hiking, musical programs.
Special Features: Park is named for a steamboat and freight landing on the Tennessee River, dating back to the mid-1800s. From here supplies were transported to surrounding towns and communities by ox cart.
