Paris Mountain State Park Location: Off US 25, 9 miles north of Greenville, near the northern border. Facilities: 39 campsites, primitive group camp, group lodge, 10 primitive cabins, 7 picnic shelters, hiking trails, bike trail, lake beach, boat rentals, meeting rooms, playground. Activities: Camping, boating (no private boats), fishing, hiking, mountain biking. Special Features: Paris Mountain is one of the oldest protected areas in the state, well known for its stands of old growth hardwood forests. Originally built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, many of the park's buildings feature the CCC's rustic style of architecture and stonework.
