Parker, Horatio (William) (1863–1919) composer, teacher; born in Auburndale, Mass. After studies in the U.S.A. and Germany, he joined the Yale faculty (1894–1919). Primarily an organist, drawing on the conservative European traditions, he composed many works with a generalized religious element, such as Hora Novissima (1893).
