Virus A program or code that replicates--that is, infects another program, boot sector, partition sector, of document that supports macros by inserting itself or attaching itself to that medium. It is a stealth (tries to remain inconspicuous), multipartite (infects the partition sector of hard drives, the boot sector of floppy drives and executable files), polymorphic (changes with each infection incident in order to avoid detection) virus, otherwise known as a SPAM virus. |
