Some disk image backup tools, which are a bit more sophisticated, first back up the partition table information, then each partition independently as if it were a disk image. 2 now supports GUID Partition Table (GPT) disks, which were introduced with Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 to enable very large storage disks with large numbers of partitions. The imaging software then displays the partition table of the source PC, allowing the user to select the desired partition(s) to be included in the image. |
