Peat Extraction 

the complex of processes carried out in working a peat deposit. In the excavation method, the raw peat is dug from an open pit, processed, and laid out to dry on a field in the form of strips. In the milling method, the top layer of the peat bed is broken up to a depth of 8–25 mm.
