Peledui

an urban-type settlement in Lena Raion, Yakut ASSR. Peledui is a landing on the left bank of the Lena River, at the Lena’s confluence with the Peledui River. An inland water transport repair and operations base for the river fleet is in the settlement.

Peledui

a river in the Yakut ASSR, a left tributary of the Lena River. The Peledui is 398 km long and drains an area of 14,300 sq km. It rises on the Lena Plateau and flows along the plateau’s southwestern edge. It is fed primarily by snow, with high water from May through June. The mean flow rate 33 km from the mouth is 47.6 cu m per sec. The Peledui freezes in October or November, and the ice breaks up in May. Common salt is mined at the river’s mouth, near the settlement of Peledui.
