Location: Northeast Bronx, off the New England Thruway and the Hutchinson River Parkway.
Facilities: Visitor center, picnic areas, beach, trails, bridle path, stable, exercise areas, historic sites, wildlife refuge, environmental center, sports areas, playgrounds.
Activities: Boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, running, horseback riding, golf, tennis, baseball, basketball, football, soccer.
Special Features: The city's largest park, it's most popular feature is Orchard Beach, a 115-acre, 1.1-mile long area on Long Island Sound that includes a sandy beach, a promenade, a central pavilion and food court, a games area, and two picnic areas.
