Cedar Hill State Park Location: In the cedar-covered hills of southwest Dallas County, 10 miles southwest of Dallas. Facilities: Campsites with water and electricity hookups, 30 primitive campsites, showers, restrooms, day-use group facility, picnic areas, boat ramps, beach, playgrounds, hiking trails, bike trails, fish cleaning station Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, birding. Special Features: Park is an urban nature preserve located on the 7,500-acre Joe Pool Reservoir, with 100 miles of shoreline. Remnants of the Penn Farm remain intact within the park, and the Penn Farm Agricultural History Center offers a glimpse into agrarian history.
