Penrose Point State Park Location: 16 miles southwest of Purdy, on the western side of the state. Facilities: 82 standard campsites, group camp, 2 showers, 2 picnic shelters, beach access, hiking trails, bike trails, interpretive trail, 8 mooring buoys, dock. Activities: Camping, boating, fishing, swimming, water skiing, beachcombing, mountain biking, clamming, crabbing, oyster gathering. Special Features: A self-guided interpretive trail in the park's day-use area was built by Eagle Scouts in 1982. The trail extends for about 1,000 feet.
