In east-central Oman, the Barik and Saih Rawl have fairly large reserves of oil and gas in Aptian Shuaiba Fms which are dolomitic, and in Permo-Carboniferous Fms of the Khlata and Qharif groups.
Gevers as the geology of the continents was mapped and the intercontinental distribution of Permo-Carboniferous and Precambrian glacial tillites became evident.
