Phalaborwa 

an industrial settlement in the Republic of South Africa, in the eastern part of Transvaal Province. Phalaborwa has a copper-smelting plant and a large industrial mining complex that was put into operation in 1966. The surrounding area has sizable reserves of copper (over 2 million tons), apatites (approximately 70 million tons), and vermiculite.

White farmer Mark Scott-Crossley was accused yesterday of accosting a witness at his murder trial in Phalaborwa, South Africa.
The project is being developed by the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa and will be used primarily to feed magnetite fines to a proposed major Direct Iron Reduction Plant to be constructed in Maputo, Mozambique, using raw materials from Phalaborwa, South Africa.
The raw material will be obtained from fine magnetite discarded from the mining operations of Palabora Mining Company in Phalaborwa, South Africa.
