Pharmacopoeia Committee 

in the USSR, a body of experts associated with the Administration for the Introduction of New Drugs and Medical Equipment of the Ministry of Public Health of the USSR. The main function of the committee is to examine and approve for each drug the pharmacopoeia entry defining the properties of the drug. The committee compiles the official Soviet pharmacopoeia and supervises its revision and republication.
