It is possible to produce LEDs with wide-ranging wavelengths by combining ultraviolet/blue LEDs with phosphor. The new models adopt LANMIT, Canon's roprietary X-ray flat panel sensor consisting of a phosphor layer and amorphous silicon flat panel detector, and can display images in about three seconds. Rather than putting the phosphor directly on the chip, the researchers place the material at a short distance above it. |
