The use of a comparator-densitometer to analyze a photographed spectrograph spectrum by emulsion density measurements.

Photometry, Photographic

the branch of photometry that deals with methods of quantitative evaluation of radiation by means of photographic materials. The methods of photographic photometry are used mainly when the intensity of the radiation being measured is low, for example, in astronomy.
