Whereas photomultiplier tubes have delicate glass housings, the new detector is made of rugged materials. Analysis of each data set is performed by integrating the pulse area of each digitized photomultiplier tube (PMT) signal and applying appropriate lower level threshold cuts on the area of the pulses. Both models are equipped with three detectors, including a photomultiplier tube for the UV-Vis region, and InGaAs and PbS detectors for the NIR region. |
