Phyllome
a lateral organ of a shoot of higher plants. The phyllome consists of the vegetative leaves, sporophylls (leaves on which sporangia are located), and all parts of the flower. Although the vegetative leaves and sporophylls arose simultaneously and have a common origin, they developed independently from and parallel to one another in the process of evolution.
