Gifford Pinchot State Park

Location: Along PA 177 between the towns of Rossville and Lewisberry in the southeastern portion of the state.
Facilities: 339 class A campsites, group tent campsite, yurts, 3 cottages, 10 cabines, showers, flush toilets, picnic area, picnic pavilions (é), snack bar, hiking trails (18 miles), bridle trails, bike trails (3.5 miles), swimming beach, 3 boat launches, boat mooring, boat rentals, playfield, 18-hole disc golf course, amphitheater.
Activities: Camping, boating (electric motors only), sailing, sailboarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, hunting, disc golf, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing, ice skating, nature programs, boat tours.
Special Features: Park consists of reverting farm fields and wooded hillsides, with 340-acre Pinchot Lake as its centerpiece.

Pennsylvania also honored Pinchot by creating the Gifford Pinchot State Park near Harrisburg.
The trail will take Bartine past Lancaster and York in Central Pennsylvania, west to Giford Pinchot State Park and finally to the foot of the Appalachian Trail at Whiskey Springs, Cumberland County.
