Location: Near Hilton Head, South Carolina. Facilities: Viewing sites, trails. Activities: Fishing, hiking, bicycling, hunting (limited), educational programs. Special Features: Pinckney Island NWR includes Corn Island, Big and Little Harry Islands, Buzzard Island, and numerous small hammocks. Picnkney Island is the largest and the only one open to public use. Habitats: 4,053 acres of salt marsh, tidal creeks, forestland, brushland, fallow field, and freshwater ponds.
