Pinckney Recreation Area Location: In Washtenaw County, off US 23 at Exit 49 (N Territorial Rd). Facilities: 186 modern campsites, 30 rustic campsites (25 at Crooked Lake and 5 at Blind Lake), picnic areas and shelters, playground, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits, beaches, beach houses, extensive system of hiking/mountain biking trails, equestrian trails, snowmobile area, boat launches and ramps (é), boat and canoe/kayak rentals (seasonal), fishing piers, concession/store. Activities: Camping, boating, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, wildlife observation, interpretive programs. Special Features: Park features a chain of seven lakes and has three major use areas: Silver Lake Day Use Area, Bruin Lake Modern Campground, and the Halfmoon Day Use facility. The landscape of the park is a terminal moraine area formed during the last glaciation period.
