Pine Point

Pine Point 

a mining area in Canada, on the southern shore of Great Slave Lake, in the Northwest Territories. There is a railroad station at Pine Point. The settlement sprang up in connection with the development of a lead- and zinc-ore deposit. The mine began operating in 1965.
