Pinegin, Timir Alekseevich
Born June 12, 1927, in Moscow. Soviet athlete (yachting). Honored Master of Sports (1960). Coach. Member of the CPSU since 1969. Pinegin was champion of the USSR 16 times between 1953 and 1973. He won a European championship in 1964, and an Olympic championship in 1960. He participated in the 16th through 20th Olympic Games.
