Pink Floyd British rock group, formed in 1966: originally comprised Syd Barrett (born 1946), Roger Waters (born 1944), Rick Wright (born 1945), and Nick Mason (born 1945); Barrett was replaced by Dave Gilmour (born 1944) in 1968 and Waters left in 1986. | Working with Mark Fisher and Ray Winkler -- the designers behind past Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Cirque du Soleil shows -- Aguilar has created a grand Day of the Dead-themed set. The lyricist, songwriter and singer for the former British group Pink Floyd, which produced the iconic album "The Wall," had been criticized by fans in Britain for planning to play in Tel Aviv. While some of the works are derivative, splitting a facade on a school could be Pink Floyd as much as Matta-Clark, there seems a kind of hand--one that separates ordinary stuff, housed in glass and steel boxes, from unique--splashed into bendy androids temporarily anaesthetised who countering, contrast, or cover up the otherwise rational organisation. |
