Planck radiation formula [′pläŋk ‚rād·ē′ā·shən ‚fȯr·myə·lə]
(statistical mechanics) A formula for the intensity of radiation emitted by a blackbody within a narrow band of frequencies (or wavelengths), as a function of frequency, and of the body's temperature.
