Plaskow, Judith (1946–  ) writer, educator; born in New York City. She graduated from Clark University (1968) and earned a Ph.D. from Yale University in religious studies. Cofounder and coeditor of the Journal of Feminist Studies in Religion (1983), she was appointed professor of religious studies at Manhattan College in 1990. She wrote Standing Again at Sinai: Judaism from a Feminist Perspective (1990), as well as many scholarly and popular articles.
