application platform
An organization's set of applications that covers all of its business requirements. This may be an integrated suite of applications from one vendor, or more likely, a collection of packages from multiple vendors that has been integrated by the company using middleware and/or custom programming.

Platform Vs. Stack
An application "platform" implies an integrated set of programs that drive the business, whereas an application "stack" implies the general-purpose productivity programs in use. See application stack, hardware platforms and platform.
