Platt, Charles A. (1861–1933) landscape architect; born in New York City. A painter, he became interested in architecture when he studied Italian villas in 1880. An East Coast architect (1897–1930), he created unified designs for buildings and grounds, notably at Deerfield and Phillips Andover Academies.
