plenum
In a building, the space between the real ceiling and the dropped ceiling, which is often used as an air duct for heating and air conditioning. It is also filled with electrical, telephone and network wires. See plenum cable.

(engineering)
A condition in which air pressure within an enclosed space is greater than that in the outside atmosphere.

a meeting of the entire membership of the elected ruling organ of an organization, such as a party, state, or labor organization.

As the ancient said, the world is a plenum or solid; and if we saw all things that really surround us we should be imprisoned and unable to move.
