Plimer, Andrew, c.1763–1837, English miniature painter. He was an apprentice to Richard Cosway Cosway, Richard , 1740?–1821, English miniaturist. His work was elegant and modish and became highly popular in his day. There is a collection of his works in Windsor Castle. Perhaps best known is the portrait of Mme du Barry.
