1. of or relating to rainfall or precipitation
2. a climate characterized by persistent heavy rainfall, esp one occurring in unglaciated regions during the Pleistocene epoch

Of a geologic process or feature, effected by rain action.
(meteorology)
Pertaining to rain, or more broadly, to precipitation, particularly to an abundant amount thereof.
Pluvial 

a prolonged period of wet climate in deserts and semideserts of the subtropical and tropical zones. Pluvials correspond to the glacial ages of the middle and high latitudes of the world. SeeANTHROPOGENIC SYSTEM (PERIOD).
