Pochtovo-Telegrafnyi Zhurnal

(Post and Telegraph Journal), a journal published in St. Petersburg (later Petrograd) by the Main Administration of Post and Telegraph from 1888 to 1916 and by the Ministry of Post and Telegraph in 1917. In 1918 and 1919, having become the publication of the People’s Commissariat of Post and Telegraph, it was published in Moscow. The official section of the journal contained orders, directives, postal rates, and other departmental materials. In the unofficial section were articles on the history and state of the postal, telegraph, and telephone services in Russia. From 1888 to 1892 both sections were published together, 24 times a year. After that date the official section was published weekly and the unofficial section monthly.
