Location: South of Monterey, in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Facilities: Under development.
Special Features: This property is new and not yet open to the public. Its purpose is to preserve an extremely scenic portion of the northern Big Sur Coast, an area offering spectacular views of Carmel Bay and the Pacific Ocean coastline. The property contains one of the world's largest native Monterey Pine forests, examples of the rare Gowen cypress, and areas of the rare maritime chaparral plant community. It also provides mountain lion habitat.

The Big Sur Land Trust, a Carmel-based non-profit organization, has protected several thousand acres of scenic and wildlife areas including Palo Corona Ranch, the Point Lobos Ranch, Mitteldorf Preserve, Glen Deven Ranch, Joshua Creek Canyon Ecological Reserve and Gamboa Ranch.
