Poison Spring State Park Location: 10 miles west of Camden on AR 76. Contact Information Facilities: Outdoor interpretive exhibits, picnic areas Special Features: Poison Spring is one of three Civil War battlegrounds in south central Arkansas that were part of the Union Army's Red River Campaign, the purpose of which was to take Texas away from the Confederate troops. The other two battlegrounds are Jenkins' Ferry State Park and Marks' Mills State Park (see separate listings).
