Pokagon State Park Location: Near Angola, off I-69. Facilities: 200 campsites with electricity, 73 campsites with no electricity, campground showers and toilet facilities, group camp, youth tent areas; inn accommodations (Potawatomi Inn), including rooms and cabins, restaurant, cafe, swimming pool, meeting and conference rooms; picnic areas with shelters, playgrounds, play fields, toilet facilities; general store; hiking trails (11 miles), boat rentals (paddleboat, rowboat, and pontoon boats), swimming beach with bathhouse, recreation building rental, saddle barn, toboggan run, nature center, naturalist services. Activities: Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, interpretive programs. Special Features: Park has a quarter-mile toboggan run, a refrigerated twin track that offers speeds from 35-40 mph. The tobaggan run is open weekends from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February, depending on the weather (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day).
