Pokagon State Park

Location: Near Angola, off I-69.
Facilities: 200 campsites with electricity, 73 campsites with no electricity, campground showers and toilet facilities, group camp, youth tent areas; inn accommodations (Potawatomi Inn), including rooms and cabins, restaurant, cafe, swimming pool, meeting and conference rooms; picnic areas with shelters, playgrounds, play fields, toilet facilities; general store; hiking trails (11 miles), boat rentals (paddleboat, rowboat, and pontoon boats), swimming beach with bathhouse, recreation building rental, saddle barn, toboggan run, nature center, naturalist services.
Activities: Camping, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, interpretive programs.
Special Features: Park has a quarter-mile toboggan run, a refrigerated twin track that offers speeds from 35-40 mph. The tobaggan run is open weekends from the Friday after Thanksgiving through February, depending on the weather (closed Christmas Eve and Christmas day).

The majority of the damage was located in the Angola area, as well as Lake James and the Pokagon State park.
Potawatomi Inn Located in Pokagon State Park in the northeast corner of the state, this inn offers a wide range of facilities for meetings large and small.
In February, NRPA President Jonathan Korfhage, CPRP, visited the Great Lakes Park Training Institute in Pokagon State Park at the Potawotami Inn.
