polarizing filter [′pō·lə‚rīz·iŋ ‚fil·tər]
(optics)
A device which selectively absorbs components of electromagnetic radiation passing through it, so that light emerging from it is plane-polarized.

I also used a filter in the software to shade the sky a touch, having used a polarising filter on the lens when I took the picture.
