Polarized Eyeglasses

    0.01 sec.
Eyeglasses, Polarized

spectacles that consist of a frame holding two light filters and polarize light in mutually perpendicular planes. Polarized eyeglasses are used for viewing the separate images of a stereopair of a stereograph that is projected on a screen by polarizing means. When viewing through polarized eyeglasses, each eye sees only the image that is intended for it, since the images of the stereograph are projected on the screen through polarizing light filters that, like the filters of the glasses, are polarized in mutually perpendicular planes.
