    0.02 sec.
Politicheskoe Samoobrazovanie

(Political Self-Education), a monthly journal of the Central Committee of the CPSU. It has been published since 1957; until January 1960 it was called V pomoshch’ politicheskomu samoobrazovaniiu.

The journal publishes theoretical articles and recommendations on matters of instructional methodology. It provides answers to readers’ questions concerning current issues in scientific communism, Lenin’s ideological legacy, the foreign and domestic policies of the CPSU and the Soviet state, the development of the world socialist system, and the communist, workers’, and national liberation movement. It also reports on the methods used in ideological work and party education and provides critical reviews of works on social and political issues.

Politicheskoe samoobrazovanie is intended for propagandists and students in the party schools and universities; for lecturers, speakers, and party and research workers; for teachers in higher and secondary educational institutions; and for those who study Marxism-Leninism independently. Circulation, more than 2 million (1974).
