Põltsamaa

a city (since 1926) in Jõgeva Raion, Estonian SSR. Located on the Põltsamaa River, in the Lake Võrtsjärv basin. Põltsamaa is located near the Tallinn-Tartu highway, 31 km from the Jõgeva railroad station. There are metalworking enterprises in the city, and fruit and berry wines and preserves are produced.
