Golden-yellow drying oil with pleasant taste and aroma; soluble in carbon disulfide, ether, and chloroform; expressed from poppy seeds, especially of the opium poppy; used as a food oil; in artist's colors, soaps, varnishes, and lubricants. Also known as poppy-seed oil.
