positive control

i. A method of airspace control that relies on positive identification, tracking, and the direction of an aircraft within an airspace, conducted with electronic means by an agency with the authority and responsibility.
ii. Tactical control of an aircraft by a designated control unit, in which the pilot receives orders affecting the aircraft's movements and which immediately transfers responsibility for its safe navigation to the unit issuing the orders.
