K3C6H5O7·H2O Odorless crystals with saline taste; soluble in water and glycerol, deliquesent and insoluble in alcohol; decomposes about 230°C; used in medicine.

Since they usually include caramel color and/or potassium citrate, though, I banished them for good and am happy to be done with them.
Byline: ANI Washington, July 22 (ANI): Researchers at Johns Hopkins Children's Center say that children on the high-fat ketogenic diet to control epileptic seizures can be prevented from the excruciatingly painful kidney stones, which the diet may sometimes cause, by giving them a daily supplement of potassium citrate the day they start the diet.
In type I and type II renal tubular acidosis and in diarrhea, potassium bicarbonate or potassium citrate is used.
