Pre-Raphaelite
a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, an association of British painters and writers including Dante Gabriel Rossetti (1828--82), Holman Hunt (1827--1910), and Sir John Everett Millais (1829--96), founded in 1848 to combat the shallow conventionalism of academic painting and revive the fidelity to nature and the vivid realistic colour that they considered typical of Italian painting before Raphael (1483--1520)

The six-part series is set in London and follows the adventures of three men who would become one of Britain's most important art movements, the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood.
The charismatic Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, as they self-styled themselves, certainly had a taste for the high life and produced nearly as many scandals as they did works of art, making them a pretty meaty subject for a documentary, let alone a souped-up series.
