2. any one of eight bicuspid teeth in the human adult, two situated on each side of both jaws between the first molar and the canine

(anatomy)
In each quadrant of the permanent human dentition, one of the two teeth between the canine and the first molar; a bicuspid.

Now I'm no dentist but a friend of mine is so he's been studying her mouth and he says she might need a crown on one of her premolars.
There are four main types of teeth: chisel-shaped incisors for chopping food, sharp canines for tearing food, diamond-shaped premolars with pits and fissures for grinding food, and rectangular molars which also grind food.
Next, behind the premolars are the molars themselves.
