Presque Isle State Park

Location: Peninsula on Lake Erie, reached by PA 832 or via boat.
Facilities: Picnic areas (é), picnic pavilions, picnic shelters, snack bar, hiking trails (11 miles), swimming beaches (1 @di), fishing piers (é), boat rentals, 4 boat launches, boat mooring, marina, visitor center, playfield, boat tours, interpretive center (é), nature shop.
Activities: Boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing, scuba diving, hunting, hiking, bicycling, inline skating, cross-country skiing, ice boating, ice fishing, ice skating, bird watching, interpretive programs.
Special Features: Park is a sand spit jutting into Lake Erie and the only surf beach in Pennsylvania. A National Natural Landmark, Presque Isle is a favorite spot for migrating birds. Because of its many unique habitats, the park contains a greater number of the state's endangered, threatened, and rare species than any other area of comparable size in the state.
