The Micro Mate range consists of press fit products used in conjunction with micro poly and vinyl tubing.
The approach now is to use "compliant pin" connection, wherein the electrical connection is through an array of needle-sized eyelets that collapse when the mating connector on the cable is press fit to the PCB.
Because there is no press fit, the SSP system also eliminates the risk of guided ejector bushings hanging up on the press fit of the leader pin.
