A seismic feature resulting from transverse pressure and shortening of the land surface.
An elongate upward movement of the congealing crust of a lava flow.
A ridge of glacier ice.
(oceanography)
A ridge or wall of hummocks where one ice floe has been pressed against another.

The map shows two lava flows: the younger flow exhibits flow structures, pressure ridges as well as the central lava channel.
I can tune into and feel the "dips and valleys''" of fault line pressure ridges, feel the "heat" from naturally occurring gamma radiation, sense the "prickly static" of cell tower emissions, cell phones, microwaves, and so on.
On several occasions the sleds actually left the ground as they hurtled back down the other side of a pressure ridge before crashing into the next wall of ice.
