Refers to programs that enhance the appearance of text for human readability. Converting mathematical equations that appear on one line with single character symbols into their formal graphical appearance is an example. Source code beautifiers are another example (see code beautifier).

prettyprint - /prit'ee-print/ (Or "pretty-print") To generate "pretty" human-readable output from a hairy internal representation; especially used for the process of grinding program code.
